Welcome crafty friends!!
I hope you are enjoying the Spring Fling Hop so far. There are lots of inspiring projects and ideas for you to try out using Trinity’s newest products from the May 2019 release, so don’t stop hopping along just yet. You should have arrived from the Trinity Stamps Blog.
Today I want to share two cards using some of the new release items:
For the first card I created a fun shaker window filled with Walkin’ On Sunshine and Glistening Snow Confetti – such a fun mixture! I die cut the window using SSS Stitched Circle Dies and stamped some flowers from Trinity’s new Spring Fling Floral stamp set around the border for a cute peek-a-boo look.
The sentiments are from the Hello Sentimini stamp set, and I stamped part inside the window in Altenew’s Permanent Black Crisp Ink and the other half on a white strip in Worn Lipstick Distress Oxides adhered to the front of the window.
A thin strip of pink glitter cardstock behind the front sentiment finishes up this colorful shaker card.
For the second card I used the center die cut from the above card to set the focal area where I placed a couple floral clusters using flowers from the Spring Fling Floral stamp set. I stamped the images in Altenew’s Permanent Black Crisp Ink (my go-to black ink) and colored with the following colors: R206 & R403 (Altenew Artist Markers), YG13 & YG17 (Copics). I don’t yet have the dies for these, and I have ZERO patience for fussy cutting, so I used my CAMEO 3 and PixScan mat to cut these images out – a great alternative if you don’t have the funds or want to save money on buying dies.
I positioned the flowers into two bunches along the outside of the circle and adhered with Multi Medium Matte before adhering onto the card front. This gave me a bit more freedom to see how the card would come together, and I was able to move the circle around on the card to find the best placement. I stuck it smack in the center (creative, aren’t I?) and stamped the sentiment from the Thank You Sentiment stamp set with more of the Altenew Ink.
To finish up this card I added a few of the new Fortune Teller Acrylic Drops Mix to a couple corners of the card front. These are clear, so they don’t add too much distraction away from the focal point.
Weeelp, that’s it from me! I hope you enjoyed the cards I created for the Trinity Stamps Spring Fling Blog Hop! Up next is Brenda’s blog – you don’t wanna miss her project!
One reader will be randomly selected to receive a $25 Trinity Gift Card and an embellishment goodie bag, so continue hopping along for your chance to win and tons of inspiration from the other designers 🙂
