National Bubble Tea Day! Blog Hop | Trinity Stamps + Coffee Loving Cardmakers

Hey everyone, and happy Tuesday!

Did you know that today is National Bubble Tea day?? In honor of this fun holiday, Trinity Stamps and Coffee Loving Cardmakers have put together this hop filled with many amazing crafters showing off some bubble tea projects. Thanks for hopping from Emelie’s blog!

For this card I used stamps, dies, and embellishments by Trinity Stamps which I will leave links to below throughout the post so you can add them to you stash and make some pretty things!

To start this card process I stamped out all the images from the Coffee With Characters stamp set using Altenew Crisp Ink in Permanent Black, my go-to ink because it works so beautifully with alcohol markers and watercolors. I mixed up my typical coloring style with this project and used my new Jane Davenport Magic Wand pencils (also known as colored pencils, but Jane is faaaancy so they had to have a fancy name, obviously!)

After I finished coloring all the stamped images in to my liking, I die cut them with my Big Shot Plus out using their coordinating dies. I’m not a huge color-er even though I own all the tools to be one (and I do mean way too many colored pencils, Copics, Altenew markers, etc. for someone who “doesn’t color often”…) so I just did some simple coloring and shading. Don’t get me wrong, I like the IDEA of coloring, but I have like zero patience in life so it’s not my FAVORITE task in crafting.

I pulled out an exacto knife to make a tiny slit on each of the lids to slide the straws through. I could have easily just placed the straw die cut behind the lid and cup, but I wanted them to look more realistic. I adhered all the bits together to form the cup/lid/straw combo with just a few dots of Ranger’s Multi Medium Matte – a little dab of this adhesive goes a long way, so there is no need to use a lot. Once dry, I put some squares of craft foam on the back of each cup for some dimension before placing them on the blue card stock panel.

I stamped Happy Birthday from Trinity’s Let Love Grow stamp set onto a strip of white cardstock in coral and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I added a strip of silver glitter washi tape just below the sentiment #becauseglitter before adhering the panel to the card front.

See those gorgeous heart embellishments?? Those are the Double Bubble Heart Drops from Trinity Stamps that I looooove!! They offer these in a ton of colors, and they coordinate beautifully with any project.

I’ve have not enjoyed bubble tea myself but it is on my list of drinks to try. I had to do some research on it so I could make this card as accurate as possible. Have YOU have bubble tea before? If so, what’s your favorite flavor?? Leave me some recommendations below for me to try 🙂

Thanks so much for hopping along with us today! Next on the hop is Katie’s blog – you don’t wanna miss out on her fabulous design! The full hop list in order is on the CL blog if you’d like to start from the beginning.

One reader will be randomly selected to receive a $25 Trinity Gift Card. Leave your comments on all of the participating blogs by Wednesday, May 8th at 11:59pm Pacific, then look for the winner announcement here on the CL blog the following week – good luck!! 🙂

  1. So cute!! I love the original flavor which is make with black tea, sugar and milk. On the market right now there are many fruit flavors available and you have options of choose milk or juice. The boba (bubble) is tapioca pearls, some flavored some not. I would strongly suggest to try the original flavor before venturing into the other ones if you have never try one before. 🙂
